MisterMuayThai
I personally think female fights are exciting (not in the perverted way) and unpredictable and don't get enough attention. I think the UFC would really benefit financially if it adopted female weight classes.
CHUCK_N0RRIS
Cyborg would beat some of the males in her weight range.
MisterMuayThai
Cyborg would beat some of the males in her weight range. Oh, yea. She has more strength and raw aggression than some male Welterweights.

KaserKaiser
The general consensus is that nobody wants to see women fight in the UFC. I don't think it is going to happen while Dana is in charge.
BESERKER
the Strikeforce Challengers have a decent women's division, .. haven't seen a lame babe match yet -

reapers_bane
maybe we could see Cyborg slam tito again and KO him into retirement
KaserKaiser
Everyone said the UFC would never adopt an weight classes below Lightweight. There are not enough of them to have regular fights in the UFC. I also think it is not going to help the UFC become legalized in New York.
disty_pal
dana white has said himself that there arent enough good female fighters yet to create a division. there would be too many one sided fights.

True but in the end he will give in and there WILL be a women's division by the end of 2012.
severdx
Cyborg would beat some of the males in her weight range. I actually agree with this, her husband is a pro fighter and said she had to fight when he realized she punched harder then some men who hit him. Call me crazy but I think she's hot, never thought I'd be attracted to a buff chick. Besides the beating she put on her opponent was more vicious and entertaining then the last four GSP fights combined. I will be a WMMA supporter as long as MMA stands tall. severdx
One sided equals entertaining, remember Sobral vs. Chuck 2 or GSP vs Trigg. One sided fights happen and exposure will make the league more competitive.
No_Pantaloons
I agree with you, I like to watch them scrap, however I really don't think its gonna continue for much longer. Strikeforce is already getting picked apart for any quality fighters, almost everyone has seen it now. There is a large question if strikeforce will remain in any fashion, beyond a year or 2. My guess is it won't. Dana seems totally uninterested in promoting women's mma. He may say they're aren't enough fighters (which is true,) but they have made no effort to recruit any. I think if they did an open casting call like for TUF, they could bring in plenty of solid talent, then add a match to each prelim to showcase, but they haven't. They're not even using the women they have, cyborg hasn't fought in a long while, supposedly she just resigned with strikeforce, but we don't know when she'll actually fight. And of course gina is still mysteriously up in the air. I think they're just going to let the womens fights trickle in here and there, until they're ready to pull the plug on strikeforce, then the women are gonna be left out in the cold. At this point, without major support, its just gonna die out on its own.
severdx
I hope not, you said they have a talent problem but nobody knows who's talented anyways. Imagine this as a business move. Forget about adding fly weight for a little bit and don't even create a division. Just gamble on one fight and thats Cyborg, pump up a story about a mean contender thats been crushing skulls. Let this fight head the main card as a womans title defence. If it doesn't succeed burn it and forget the womans division ever existed. But atleast give them one shot, just one shot and if it takes off it takes off.
severdx
Really this odd match up would garner a one time shock interest. A lot of casuals would be shocked woman actually fight in MMA. This one time intrigue would expose the idea to people and if they responded in a good manner you would have proof to invest.
severdx
Woman need to be inspired by this woman just like men are inspired. You'd be suprised after MMA was introduced to my family my sister and wife regulary grapple after family get togethers. My sister thinks Cyborg is the ****!!! I think the UFC would really benefit financially if it adopted female weight classes. I agree. You're going to get replies from people saying that most people don't want to see female fighters. That may be true for now BUT my gut tells me a female version of The Ultimate Fighter may do better in the ratings than the original TUF and spark a huge intrest in female MMA. Women carry large amounts of drama coupled with MMA and alcohol, it's a recipe for great TV and again could be the spark that starts the engine. Let's take it a step further.....A coed Ultimate Fighter. Imagine that sh/t!?!?
jamamaw
True but in the end he will give in and there WILL be a women's division by the end of 2012. We'll all be dead by then though.
