Ok, so Raiden is told by the Jedi to investigate a disturbance in the force. So he seeks out Darth Maul and challenges him to Mortal Kombat. Darth Maul accepts, and they fight to the finals of the tournament where they finally meet, and the MK finals act as this opening round fight.

Raiden in order to participate is no longer an immortal god, but he retains his other powers such as complete control of lightning, flight, teleportation.

Darth Maul has his duel ended light saber staff, which he combines with martial arts, and his Sith powers such as precognitive reaction times, telekenetic abilities, force push, force lightning, force choke etc, as well as resistances to force lightning and any telepathic attempts against him result in the attacker being harmed from the darkness of his mind.

How does the fight go down? Who wins? Who do you want to see advance in the torunament. Make your choice!

... wouldn't Darth Maul's precognitive reaction time & his use of telekinesis

mute Raiden's ability to control lightning ?

well his reaction time is just superfast like jedi reflexes or whatever, it's not like he can see 5 seconds into the future. Remember he was cut in half because he didn't react in time... plus i can't see how moving objects with the mind could effect Raidens use of lightning. Maul I think could fight it off but Raidens defence IMO is greater then Mauls offence.
